- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC)
- Arrest and booking information: call HPD arrested-adult information at (808) 961-2213
- Official background checks: order through the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC)
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement and sealing: use HCJDC for qualifying arrest-record expungement and the Judiciary for court sealing
